Lose Control

I made no excuses for the football game, but last night OSU beat themselves. All year I said they could win it all because they played great D, had a big man inside, and had excellent 3 point shooting. Last night those threes weren't there, it happens and there's nothing you can do about it. Florida had absolutely no answer for Oden once he got the ball inside, or really any of the Bucks guards when they drove. But you can't keep scoring 2 when your opponent is scoring 3.

I will say I am glad that the Gators won, if it couldn't be Ohio State. Only because all those kids chose to stay in school another year and see if they could accomplish what they did last night. Hopefully, the Buckeyes learned something from that. especially Oden. Although I've heard he's said before he wasn't coming out until he could dominate in the NBA, which he is not yet ready to do yet. They could really dominate next year, especially with the recruits coming in.

I don't put too much stock in this Championship for Florida anyway. They didn't beat any powerhouse programs, unless you want to count UCLA based on 40 years ago. There was no strong Duke, UNC, UConn, or Kentucky teams.

Kentucky will probably be there next year when Billy Donovan is their coach. I say he's crazy to leave, but he will always be in the shadow of the football program, at Kentucky basketball is king. It'll be interesting.

Stay at Florida, Billy. The shadows are a lot more flattering.

Oden is not really ready for the NBA, but can he get better at Ohio State? It may take a daily beating by guys his size to take his game to the next level.

I'll be watching both situations from the comfort of my living room.

your ass anonymous! That would be the Jerk, begging for me to tell every one that he won the Big Friends Pool. Both the brackets and our draft. Of course he did have the first pick, and it sure is difficult to choose the exact team that did it the year before.

It sounds like your brother is somekind of Ncaa basketball genious. Didn't you say somewhere that he has won the pool about 8 or 9 times , and once he won it 4 years in a row. By the way he had the 2nd pick.

I also mentioned how during those years it was only him and Stim in it, and Stim lost because Rick told him too.
